Some fun turtle crafts!
Paper Plate Turtles
Materials:
- 1 paper plate/bowl
- Green/Brown construction paper
- Markers/Crayons/Paint
- Scissors
- Extras like: googly eyes

1. Decorate Paper plate with paints/markers/crayons like the shell of the turtle, be creative! Set aside.
2. On construction paper, draw 4 turtle legs, a head and a triangle for the tail, make sure you draw them with extra length so the turtle has a neck and more than just feet!
3. Have a grown up help you cut out the legs, head and tail.
4. Glue legs, head and tail on to the bottom side of the shell, make sure that you can see them when you flip the turtle over!
5. Draw the turtles face on, maybe some turtle toes, if you have googly eyes glue them on!
CD Turtle
Materials:
- 1 old unwanted/blank CD
- Green construction paper or felt
- Markers
- Glue
- Extras like googly eyes, magnets, glitter glue
1. On green paper or felt trace CD twice and cut out both circles (mom or dad can help)
2. Cut out 5 rectangles with round edges for the feet and head. Cut out one triangle for your turtles tail.
3. Glue the feet, head and tail to the bottom of your CD. Cover the bottom of the CD and bits of the feet, head and tail with one of the green circles you cut.
4. Flip turtle over and glue on the other green felt circle. Draw eyes on to the head, or paste on googly eyes if available.
5. Decorate your turtle however you want, you can colour it with markers and glitter glue, or with a different colour of felt/paper, cut out small stop sign shapes and glue them on!
6. Wait for your turtle to dry, once dry you may paste a magnet to the back and put him on your fridge!
